Power Supply in a Popcan

October 27th, 2006 by Phil Stewart

It is a common myth that a computer power supply will not fit into an empty popcan. The legend goes that whoever shall attempt such a feat will lose all their fingers, start babbling in Mandarin Chinese, and immediately go insane. That last claim is tough to verify since it is also believed that anyone who attempts such a feat is already insane. So, to prove everyone wrong, or right, or maybe to prove nothing at all, I'm going to fit a computer power supply into a popcan... through the small drinking hole in the top of the can... without damaging it. The can, that is, I won't damage the can... I'm gonna beat the crap outta that power supply.

The goal is to fit the object on the left into the object on the right. Sounds simple enough.

This just lets us know that there is a killer inside and it's ok to do this after we have eaten or while high.

Powerman is here to help us! Or kill us.

I guess we'll start by ripping stuff apart. When in doubt, destroy stuff. That was fairly easy.

Sweet, first blood already. This is how you know you're doing it right!

That's ok, the power supply isn't doing too well either.

This must be the listening device that my boss is POSITIVE Bill Gates personally installs in every computer. And I thought my boss was smoking crack when he said Bill Gates is listening in on every conversation in the world.

It's amazing what the right amount of properly applied force can do.

At least it's still ok to be high. I wonder how I'm gonna remove these mamba jambas.

Aah, that's how!

Look! A celebrity autograph!

This fuse had a PG rating. Now it's got more than a dirty mouth to worry about.
I can't believe I'm still ripping stuff apart!

Ignore the hidden messages, they don't know what they are talking about.
And how in the heck do body parts from my dog keep getting in the pictures?

Cool, that's a good one! Now I KNOW I'm doing it right!
I'm still breaking stuff down, trying to make pieces small enough to fit into the popcan.

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. I'm starting to feel dizzy and the pieces are getting messy.

I'm getting closer...

Looks painful. One time I tried fitting the refrigerator into my crib. Didn’t work. Got food everywhere.
