Apparently this guy found another one of those shady companies offering to turn your scrap gold into cash.  So to test them out, he got their gold kit, scrounged up some genuine hobo scrap gold, and sent it off.  Check out the humorous post about his adventure and especially his method for scrounging up your own hobo gold.

Now, this is a different company than the typical "Cash 4 Gold" scams we see around here, so your mileage may vary depending on who you deal with.  It'd be interesting to see if any of these other companies are interested in buying our hobo gold.  I'd be interested in selling it.
