I previously wrote about how you can easily buy multi-billion dollar Zimbabwean notes on ebay, thus becoming instantly wealthy, at least in theory.
That was only a few short months ago and I recently noticed that trillion dollar Zimbabwean notes are now available on ebay. This is after the Zimbabwean government keeps slashing zeros off the end of the notes... inflation just keeps pumping it back up to astronomical levels.
Surprisingly (or not), the billion dollar notes had an expiration date on them. I haven't seen the trillion dollar notes close up yet but wouldn't be amazed to see an expiration date on them too. Kind of funny when your money is so worthless that it "expires" after a given time. Well, not funny if you've got to live it... unless you've got a toilet paper shortage on your hands.
So without further rambling or risk of angering the toilet paper gods, here's a brief selection of some of the trillion dollar bills you can pick up for pretty cheap. It's kind of a cool way to own a piece of living history, or, of course, become an instant trillionaire.
Now the only question is how long it'll be before Zimbabwe starts cranking out Quadrillionaires.
