All Your Construction Signs Are Belong to Us

January 25th, 2009 by Phil Stewart

I've always wondered why construction signs said things like "Stupid Animal Crossing", "Beware Falling Tacos", and "Pwned". Now I think I know why. Maybe my driving isn't as bad as everyone says, it's just those goofy construction sign hackers informing us of dangers we never even thought of before. Dangers like stupid animals and killer tacos. You never know when a falling taco could hit your car (or your head), and who knows how much damage that could do. Well I know, and you don't want to know.

So in the spirit of informing everyone about the danger of tacos, zombies, and dumb animals, I found a site that explains the ease of which someone can hack a construction sign to make it say whatever they fancy.

From the link above:

  • “It will ask you for a password. Try “DOTS”, the default password

In all likelihood, the crew will not have changed it. However if they did, never fear. Hold “Control” and “Shift” and while holding, enter “DIPY”. This will reset the sign and reset the password to “DOTS” in the process. You’re in”

Please see the site linked above for any sort of disclaimers and whatnot and refer to them if interrogated. I can't afford to let the killer tacos know it was me who helped share this information.
